Terveystalo acquiring Solo Health Group
Terveystalo, the largest private healthcare service provider in Finland, is to acquire the entire share capital of Solo Health Group.
The transaction marks a significant consolidation in the Nordic healthcare services market. The transaction is part of Terveystalo’s strategy to deepen its partnership with Finland’s wellbeing services counties. By absorbing Solo Health, Terveystalo will significantly expand its nationwide professional network, adding over 700 healthcare and social care professionals and 40 administrative specialists to its ranks.
For investors and operators, the strategic rationale centres on the target’s strong foothold in the public sector. Solo Health provides essential physician, nursing, and psychologist services for both primary and specialised healthcare, serving all wellbeing services counties across Finland.
This move follows a historical pattern for Terveystalo, which has long utilised M&A to drive growth and diversify its revenue mix across corporate, private, and public payors. Previous large scale integrations, such as the acquisition of Attendo’s healthcare assets, have historically allowed the company to leverage its digital platform and operating model to drive margin expansion, even when initial deal costs impacted short term earnings.
Completion remains subject to customary regulatory approval from the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority. Both parties anticipate that the transaction will reach final completion during the first half of 2027.
