Summa Equity has acquired Dignio, a premier Norwegian specialist in remote patient care which was founded in 2012.

Candesic is pleased to have supported Summa Equity with its acquisition of Dignio. The Candesic team was led by Senior Partner Marc Kitten and Senior Engagement Manager Dr Kristoffer Kenttä.

Dr Kenttä said: “Healthcare at home is a rapidly growing megatrend, with many solutions emerging in the market. Dignio fits very well into this space, offering leading remote monitoring and automatic medication dispensers.”

For investors and operators, the deal highlights a growing confidence in outcomes-based digital health solutions that address healthcare efficiency and sustainability. Dignio’s integrated platform allows healthcare providers to operationalise homecare, combining data-driven care coordination with virtual ward rounds. The technology is designed to reduce unnecessary home visits , improve resource utilisation, and lower overall healthcare system costs while empowering patients with chronic diseases to manage their health independently.

Summa Equity intends to leverage its expertise to accelerate Dignio’s international expansion across Europe and North America. Christian Melby, Partner and CIO at Summa, noted that Dignio is already one of Norway’s 50 fastest-growing tech companies and represents the type of high-impact business the firm seeks to back.

Dignio CEO Martin Petter Fredriksen emphasized that the partnership will allow the company to realise its vision of making sustainable healthcare solutions globally accessible at a faster pace.
