Pan-European radiotherapy leader Stingray Healthcare Group has acquired the Porte de Saint-Cloud Oncology Centre from the American Hospital of Paris.

The transaction was executed through Stingray’s French subsidiary, Amethyst, and marks a significant consolidation in the competitive French healthcare market. Located in Boulogne-Billancourt, the acquired facility is a major regional radiotherapy and oncology provider, delivering approximately 42,000 radiotherapy sessions and 8,000 chemotherapy sessions annually. This strategic transaction reinforces Stingray’s position as the largest independent cancer care platform operating on the continent.

This transaction highlights the rapid scaling of specialised, highly consolidated oncology networks across Europe. Stingray, which was acquired by Fremman Capital in late 2025 and subsequently merged with Amethyst Radiotherapy, has swiftly built a massive pan-European clinical platform led by Chief Executive Officer Ralph Hefti.

Following this acquisition, the group operates 33 specialised centres across eight countries, including 12 facilities in France, treating more than 35,000 patients each year. Under the terms of the agreement, the centre will transition to the Amethyst brand, whilst the American Hospital of Paris, which owned the centre since 2017, partners with Stingray to ensure coordinated patient pathways. The centre will retain its existing medical teams and clinical standards to ensure uninterrupted patient care.

The deal establishes a long-term strategic partnership aiming to improve patient access to innovative oncology treatments and state-of-the-art radiotherapy equipment, such as new linear accelerators and advanced patient repositioning systems. Operators should note that the expansion complements Stingray’s existing suburban Paris facilities in La Garenne-Colombes and Versailles, creating substantial regional density and operational synergies.

This acquisition reflects the ongoing trend of private equity-backed platforms partnering with established hospital groups to modernise cancer treatment infrastructure whilst optimising clinical delivery networks.
