Ribera acquires Valencian hospital group HCB
Spanish healthcare delivery operator Ribera, a subsidiary of French private hospital group Vivalto Santé, has acquired Valencian private hospital group HCB Hospitales.
Operating for over 40 years, the acquired group manages a healthcare network comprising two acute hospitals located in Benidorm and Dénia, three outpatient clinics in Calpe, Moraira, and Albir, and two diagnostic imaging centers in Alicante, supported by a workforce of more than 650 medical and health professionals.
Financial terms have not been disclosed. The transaction represents Ribera’s largest private healthcare acquisition to date and reinforces Vivalto Santé’s strategy of establishing integrated hospital hubs across Southern Europe.
Vivalto Santé acts as Ribera’s reference shareholder and partner in driving European clinical development. In parallel with its Iberian acquisition strategy, Vivalto Santé has just expanded its French clinical operations by opening a dedicated medical care and rehabilitation unit at its Saint-Grégoire site within Hôpitaux Privés Rennais in Rennes. The new unit includes full-time and partial hospitalisation beds, a specialised physical rehabilitation plateau, and advanced rehabilitation equipment.
Vivalto Santé Group Chief Executive Officer Emmanuel de Geuser met with Portuguese political leaders in Lisbon on October 26 to discuss future private health infrastructure investments across the Iberian Peninsula.
