Ottobock IPOs with €4.bn Frankfurt Stock Exchange listing

15 October 2025

German prosthetics maker Ottobock successfully completed its initial public offering (IPO) on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange on October 9, marking the largest German IPO since March 2024 and achieving a market valuation of €4.2 billion.

Shares opened at €72 —9% above the offer price.

The Naeder family (owners of Näder Holding, a management and investment company that is the majority owner of Ottobock) which retains an 81% stake, will receive most of the proceeds to repay a €1.1 billion loan used to buy back EQT’s minority stake in 2024. The company itself will use €100 million for future technology investments, expansion in the B2B segment, and potential acquisitions.
