Medica Group has entered into a definitive agreement to merge with Axon Diagnostics, combining the UK’s largest teleradiology provider with a clinically led specialist in radiology and digital pathology.

The transaction also includes the acquisition of Axon sister company, MITIS Health, bringing its proprietary Clinical Desktop technology into the Medica portfolio. The merger is designed to address the critical shortfall of clinical radiologists in the UK.

For investors and operators, the primary value proposition lies in the creation of the largest clinical reporting network in the United Kingdom. The unified entity will serve over 2.5 million patients annually, covering approximately 55% of all NHS Trusts.
