Kry rebrands as Livi in the UK and France
Kry, the leading European digital primary care provider, has unified its international operations by rebranding its United Kingdom and French subsidiary, Livi, under the parent company’s name.
The Stockholm-headquartered group, which was founded in 2014, originally adopted the Livi brand for the UK and French markets due to specific marketing considerations whilst maintaining the Kry name in Sweden, Norway, and Germany. This shift marks a move towards a singular, cohesive identity for its patient interface and clinical portal across all territories.
For investors and healthcare operators, the brand consolidation reflects the maturation of Kry’s platform as a consistent pan-European infrastructure for digital-first medicine. The company has successfully scaled its core technology across several major European markets, providing GP services, mental health care, and specialist consultations in areas such as dermatology. By unifying the brand, Kry aims to streamline its patient experience while continuing to tailor clinical workflows to the specific regulatory norms and local requirements of each national healthcare system.
The UK market remains a cornerstone of the company’s expansion strategy, where it has operated under the leadership of Juliet Bauer, formerly the Head of NHS Digital. Since entering the UK in 2018, the provider has established critical partnerships with NHS practices and collaborated with retail partners such as Boots UK to offer in-store GP services. This hybrid model, which blends digital triage with physical clinical provision, mirrors the strategy Kry has successfully deployed in Sweden through the ownership of physical clinics and in France via a joint venture with the specialty healthcare provider ELSAN.
This rebranding follows a period of significant capital injection. As the European telemedicine sector enters a phase of greater regulatory integration, Kry’s move to a single brand name signals its ambition to secure a dominant, integrated position in the primary care market by leveraging a unified patient portal across its entire global footprint.
