Inflexion expands DACH portfolio with Primed

14 July 2026

European middle market private equity firm Inflexion is acquiring Primed Group from DACH focused private equity firm Paragon Partners.

The transaction, which is being executed through Inflexion’s Buyout Fund VI, marks the firm’s sixth investment in the DACH region. The financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed, and the transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals.

The acquisition highlights the continued investor interest in European medical technology and specialised healthcare services. Founded in 1946 and based in Halberstadt, Germany, Primed is a vertically integrated designer, manufacturer and distributor of certified single use medical consumables.

The business employs more than 450 people across a comprehensive value chain that spans from compounding to the final sterile product. Its Medical Device Regulation certified products are distributed across more than 70 countries to supply hospitals and medical care facilities. Crucially for investors, Primed also operates HA2, which is positioned as one of the largest medical sterilisation platforms in Europe.

The focus under Inflexion’s ownership will centre on scaling Primed’s global footprint and enhancing its technical capabilities. Inflexion plans to accelerate product development, invest in the core consumables range and drive further expansion within the HA2 sterilisation business.

Operators will note that the growth strategy includes targeted acquisitions and enhanced commercial investments to strengthen direct access to customers in key international markets. To support these initiatives, Inflexion has partnered with healthcare sector veterans Wolfgang Suessle and Justin Barnes, who will both join the Primed Board of Directors.

Suessle brings more than 25 years of industry experience, including a long tenure as Chief Executive Officer of Lohmann and Rauscher, whilst Barnes offers deep medical device leadership experience from roles at 30 Technology and Rayner.
