Day case surgery can transform healthcare systems in emerging markets – but how do you remove the barriers and realise the benefits?
Managing Partner at Candesic, Dr Leonid Shapiro joined an expert panel at an IFC Health webinar last week to discuss the practical steps needed to do this.
He was joined by a distinguished panel: Dr Nilesh Patel from South African hospital group Lenmed, Emmett Moriarty from a specialist advisory firm ENNISMORE ADVISORY LTD and moderator Julia Khalimova from IFC Health.
The panel set out strategies to overcome barriers to implementation and emphasised the potential for improved outcomes, cost savings, and better use of limited resources.
