Affidea acquiring majority stake in LabPoint

21 January 2026

Leading pan-European diagnostics and outpatient service provider Affidea is acquiring of a majority stake in Switzerland-based medical diagnostics laboratory group LabPoint.

The transaction involves the purchase of the stake from the Lindenhof Group  (Lindenhofgruppe), a prominent Switzerland-based private hospital group, and reinforces Affidea’s commitment to expanding its footprint within the Swiss medical diagnostics sector and enhancing its integrated service offerings.

For investors and operators, this deal represents a continuation of Affidea’s aggressive expansion strategy across Europe, which has seen the company diversify beyond its traditional focus on imaging. In recent years, the group has successfully integrated various specialized providers, such as the Nu-Med Group in Poland for cancer care and the Uroviva Group in Switzerland for urology

The transaction highlights a broader trend of healthcare consolidation driven by a constrained policy environment where scale is used as a core lever to preserve growth. Operators are increasingly looking to cross-border acquisitions to build multidisciplinary platforms that can serve large patient volumes efficiently. LabPoint’s integration into the Affidea network is expected to provide operational synergies and a more robust diagnostic infrastructure within the Swiss market.

The deal underscores Affidea’s position as a primary consolidator in the European healthcare landscape. As regulatory focuses on ownership and governance continue to evolve, particularly in markets like France and Switzerland, such strategic moves allow providers to maintain a competitive edge through diversified clinical specialties and geographic reach.
