International healthcare group, Bupa is restructuring its UK executive team through three senior appointments designed to bolster its insurance, dental, and financial leadership.

The leadership changes, which are scheduled to take effect in October, involve the promotion of internal talent alongside the integration of experienced international leaders. This follows the retirement of Anthony Cabrelli and the departure of Mark Allan from the organisation.

Siobhan Moynihan has been appointed as the General Manager of Bupa Global, the group’s international health insurance arm. Moynihan, who returned to Bupa in 2022, previously served as the Chief Financial Officer for Bupa Global, India and UK. Her professional background includes significant finance and leadership roles at Resolution Life, Coventry Building Society, London Capital Group Holdings, and Deloitte. For investors, her appointment represents a continuity of leadership within the high-growth international insurance segment while leveraging her extensive experience in financial services and capital management.

Jesús Bonilla will assume the role of General Manager for Bupa Dental Care, overseeing the group’s extensive network of more than 380 dental clinics across the United Kingdom. Bonilla is a veteran of the Bupa group, having spent more than 17 years at Sanitas, Bupa’s Spanish healthcare business. His experience includes leading Sanitas Dental between 2011 and 2013, where he was instrumental in establishing the business unit. Operators in the dental sector will note that Bonilla’s deep expertise in healthcare provision and hospital management is expected to drive operational efficiencies across Bupa’s UK dental portfolio, which forms a key part of the group’s global network of 900 centres.

Completing the executive trio, Clare Binmore has been named the Chief Financial Officer for Bupa Global, India and UK. In this capacity, she will succeed Moynihan and oversee the financial strategy for one of Bupa’s most diverse geographic regions. All three appointees will report directly to Chris Carroll, the Chief Executive Officer of Bupa Global, India and UK.
