Circle Health acquiring laboratory facilities from Unilabs Ltd in UK

14 September 2026

PureHealth, the largest healthcare group in the Middle East, has confirmed that its subsidiary Circle Health Group has entered into an agreement to take over selected UK laboratory operations from Unilabs Limited.

This establishes a new integrated diagnostics platform for Circle Health, the largest independent hospital operator in Britain, which was itself acquired by PureHealth for $1.2 billion in 2023. Unilabs Ltd was placed in administration on 31 July

The transaction includes the acquisition of two dedicated hub laboratories located in Euston and Cavendish Square, London, alongside a network of fully licensed laboratory facilities across the United Kingdom. These sites provide a comprehensive suite of services including pathology, histopathology, microbiology, blood sciences, and specialised diagnostic capabilities for an established base of more than 90 external healthcare clients.

For investors and operators, the deal represents a vertical integration that will support Circle’s existing network of more than 50 hospitals while creating a new platform for future geographic and service growth.

The expansion is expected to benefit from the technological expertise of PureLab, another PureHealth subsidiary that operates more than 150 laboratories in the UAE and processes over 25 million tests annually. PureLab intends to introduce advanced automation and AI-enabled diagnostics to the UK network to enhance clinical outcomes and operational efficiency.
