Avista Healthcare Partners and Damier acquiring sanotact

25 May 2026

New York-based PE Avista Healthcare Partners and the Belgium-based family office Damier Group have signed a definitive agreement to acquire the German vitamins, minerals, and supplements platform sanotact Group.

As part of the transaction, current owner FLOTTE Beteiligungen will make a significant reinvestment to support the ongoing growth of the business alongside the new shareholders.

The acquisition marks a notable development in the European consumer health market, reflecting growing institutional appetite for assets tied to preventative medicine and self-care. Based in Münster, Germany, sanotact operates a dual business model that combines a scaled, full-service contract development and manufacturing organisation platform with its own portfolio of branded consumer health products, including its flagship brand.

The company currently supplies leading drugstore and distribution customers across eighty international markets, offering capabilities across all major dosage forms.

For healthcare and life sciences investors, the deal underscores the attractiveness of hybrid commercialisation models that blend stable contract manufacturing revenues with branded product sales. Avista chairman Thompson Dean highlighted that sanotact is well positioned to capture value from strong secular tailwinds, particularly the rising consumer focus on preventative health.

This transaction represents Avista’s ninth platform investment in the consumer healthcare sector, highlighting a sustained strategic focus on the space.

The partnership brings together Avista’s deep North American and European healthcare expertise of Yvan Vindevogel, founder of the Damier Group. Vindevogel noted that the shift towards self-care continues to accelerate across Europe, making sanotact an ideal fit for investment philosophies that anticipate long-term consumer health trends.

The transaction, which remains subject to standard regulatory approval, highlights how private equity operators are increasingly targeting independent European platforms with robust manufacturing capabilities and established market positions to drive future growth.
