Listed US-based radiology firm RadNet has acquired Gleamer, a Paris-based developer of medical imaging artificial intelligence, in a transaction valued at up to €230m.

This all-cash deal represents a significant expansion for RadNet’s digital health subsidiary, DeepHealth, which now claims the position of the largest provider of radiology clinical AI solutions globally.

For operators and clinical leaders, the integration of Gleamer’s portfolio brings immediate scale to routine diagnostic workflows. Gleamer provides a broad suite of solutions across musculoskeletal, breast, lung, and neurological applications, including four FDA cleared and six CE marked devices. These tools are designed to improve the quality of care by assisting radiologists in the detection and interpretation of prevalent conditions, particularly within X-ray and musculoskeletal imaging. The combined entity now manages over 2,700 customer contracts across more than 50 countries, supported by a global workforce of over 550 professionals.

From an investment perspective, the transaction underscores RadNet’s commitment to monetizing its AI platform and enhancing internal operational efficiency. Management expects the combined digital health operations to achieve an annual recurring revenue approaching or exceeding $140m by the end of 2026.

The strategic rationale hinges on using Gleamer’s cloud-native technology to reduce radiologist workloads and accelerate the shift from reactive detection to proactive prevention.

The acquisition follows RadNet’s recent expansion in the United Kingdom and various United States markets, signalling a coordinated effort to unify data across the clinical and operational continuum. By deploying these AI-powered workspaces, RadNet aims to deliver a cohesive ecosystem that empowers earlier disease detection at scale.
