Circle appoints PortmanDentex MD as new COO
The largest independent provider of hospital services in the UK, Circle Health Group, has appointed former PortmanDentex Managing Director for UK and Ireland Owen James as Chief Operating Officer.
James began his career in the British Army, serving as an infantry officer in the Welsh Guards for five years. After leaving the army, he worked for Boston Consulting Group, where he specialised in retail and consumer goods, and Waitrose, where he spent four years leading strategy, pricing and promotions.
As Chief Operating Officer, he has responsibility for the operational and financial performance of Circle’s UK wide network of 54 hospitals. His main areas of operational focus include patient satisfaction, growth opportunities and delivering of the wider commercial strategy.
