Dr Leonid Shapiro was centre stage for part of the Healthcare Hacks event

24 June 2024

Candesic Managing Partner Dr Leonid Shapiro was centre stage for part of the Healthcare Hacks event at the Royal Society of Medicine last week.

Dr Leonid was in a positive mood, focusing on how the elimination of election uncertainty and lower inflation will eventually lead to lower interest rates, a strong driver of continued improvement in deal volumes.

Other speakers, including Andrew Wood (Home Instead), Nathan Hollow (PLMR) and Emma Barnes (FocalPoint) reflected on issues such as the importance of choosing the right team to run your business to exit, and the impact Labour policies could have on the sector. There was a general feeling the independent sector may have more opportunities to assist the NHS and patients in the coming months.

Thanks are due to the event hosts, CP Deals and Pinsent Masons.
